I just purchased the Evinrude E-Tec 300 for my new Ranger 24 bay boat and am I glad I did. The increased performace I am getting since moving away from the Yamaha 250 4 stoke is amazing. The hull shot is unbelieve. It use to take me 15 in. of water to get up on plane and with the E-Tec I can do it in 9 in. The E-Tec lets me run faster at lower RPM's which I love with the price of gas. I barely burn any oil now that I switched it over to use the XD100 oil. I can't say enough good things about this new Evinrude except that I will never switch back.
