I'd be down to get together whenever. I live in Clearwater and fish St. Joseph Sound allot since it's in my back yard. but I'm opened to heading out anywhere....

Any report of fish caught is a help. You are on the right track, follow this site. the show I don't get to see. Don't watch enough TV. I started fishing at age 5, and will be a little embarrassed to say that I have been fishing for close to 60 years. You will never stop learning. One of the things that you can do to help better your skills is to keep a simple log.The following is the basic info you need to record: Date, Location, Conditions (both water and weather), Species and Tackle. A second thing is DO NOT CHASE THE FISHING REPORTS. Many times they are yesterdays news. Pick an area, fish it and learn it, do not run all over the place. Once you have learned an area, go some place else and learn that area. After a few years you will be able to go almost any place and catch fish. As for the guide pick a top guide don"t go for the economy model. When you go, explain that you are not set on catching fish, but are trying to learn how to read the water and determine patterns.
Last week was not good for fishing the Indian River for me as I was pre fishing for a tournament. When I do this I am checking out areas that have not been very productive. You never know what you may find. There is no real quick and easy way to learn fishing, there are too many variables, only time will help. When I give a seminar one of the points that I make is that too many angler's expectations far out strip reality.

I would do it in a second except my florida home is a vacation home and therefore I could not provide consistent information or reports. Also, I am not sure wether or not I should give advice. I am a hit of miss good fisherman. I have the desire to get better and that is a little of my frustration with the current sites.

The way I will probably learn is to pay a lot of extra money to some guides to teach me some more advanced techniques and show me some of their lesser fishing spots.

Anything and everything I learn, I would be happy to share on a site.

Do you want to start a Tampa Bay "regular fishing guy" reports forum or even website?

I don't think there is a report site or forum out there where there is consistent information. I see some realtively frequent updates for the tampa area on reelreports.com but a lot of the guides that post there have soliciting their services on their mind. Rarely do you get any clue anywhere of where the fish are really biting.

It is a shame that people don't share more of the fish location knowledge. I am not even talking about people's best spots. Noone even provides information on common knowledge spots in an area online.

If everyone shared this information and thereby caught more fish, then I guarantee there would be a lot more discussion and reports on these types of sites.

I agree with all of the above.

Its a good show with great intentions.

I had a chance to meet Ray at the Tampa Tribune Boat/Outdoor expo on Friday 3/5, he says some exciting new episodes are on the way. He also entertained the idea of some of us getting together for some recreational fishing. Apparently CA left before I got there.

I would definitely be in for a meet together and fish for the day, have a few drinks and do what guys do best....laughing and lying together.

Look fishing reports to get more consistent now that the weather is cooperating more.

Start coordinating a possible day that we can fish together. I am in tampa bay and would fish with anyone.

Excellent forum with a lot of good info and very easy to submit info and reports to.. It is a shame that anglers are pretty much unwilling to submit reports, tips or ideas. I submit a report on a pretty close to weekly basis to another site(IRAFR.COM). Same problem there, a lot of readers, but very few ever have any input.

I'd agree to a point.

without a doubt. FlatsClass.com is the best Inshore fishing site. Addictivefishing.com is a close second.

But, It would be nice if there was some fresh content on the forums from the Pros and More activity on the boards from the members.

Maybe a FlatsClass fishing day?

get Ray and CA and the members of Flats Class to all meet up in the morning. fish that day, and then all go somewhere for dinner.

Amd the next day, brag online about who caught what. LOL

seems there is really no need for improvement.the show and website are nice
