    Search Baits

From watching some of your shows, it looks like you all throw search baits such as mirrolures and then switch to soft plastics once fish are located. Do you have any way to eliminate unproductive water so as to not even waste tie throwing search baits in it? I am trying to find a way to fish the most effectively in a limited time schedule. Thanks for any info.

    Re: Search Baits

    Bama,

Target structure or areas where fish definitely set up to feed; for instance passes, creek mouths, and oyster reefs.  These zones are productive because bait is almost always present, also look for feeding birds (diving or wading). Birds are a great indicator of food, the fish you want won't be far behind.

Signs of life will give you the confidence game fish are around!
